[PyrNet-L] Non Pyr, update on Homer!!

He's still in Gisborne and judging by the local paper Homer is posing a
threat to the local fishing contest there this Easter weekend (pity he
couldn't have posed a threat to the snapper brought home here earlier this
week!!). Homer has claimed the boat ramp as his home and it's a bit hard
to shift 2000kgs of him!! He has "crunched cars and trailers and trees"
while trying to scratch himself. Homer has learnt to know if follows the
right fishing boat out then he gets a free feed. Officials say "he's got
to leave, we can't keep the ramp solely for Homer!!" One of their reasons
is if a child fell in the water Homer may play with it like a rag doll! I
would think any child who went near a two tonne critter is probably not
under parental control says she whose 4 year old was found at Wellington Zoo
holding the trunk of and walking with Kamal the elephant!! I claimed her in
the end albeit reluctantly and suitably embarrassed!! That's in the annals
of family history along with the many losses at dog shows over the years.
The kid is still wandering, this time in Singapore enroute to UK!!
