Our sweet boy Cody passed away today after a long, brave struggle with
dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).

Cody's last title, Versatility Ambassador, awarded just last month at
the National Specialty in Sacramento, was in many ways the most fitting.
This laid-back, gentle boy never much cared for the show ring, but he
was ALWAYS a tremendous ambassador for the breed, all the way up until
the end, when his presence at the National got to show many in the breed
that yes indeed, Pyrs do have heart problems.

Cody leaves us way too early, but he left us so much.

This $250 newspaper ad puppy sold with no advice and no restrictions by
a breeder who should have known better changed our lives, and we are
eternally grateful.

Rest well, Cody.

You deserve it.
