Re: [PyrNet-L] Anatolian/Pyr mixes

Darrell, wanted to tell you I was extremely impressed with the Canton
article. I just hate that place as far as the live animals are
concerned. Our P. B. Pig group has an on going fight with that place,
and I just cringe seeing the dogs there too. And then when people come
to me telling me about the Pyrs. there, it just tears me up! The picture
on the back with the one lone pup, made me think of a gal that came by
for eggs one day and told me she was tempted to buy the one last Pyr. pup
when she was there. Very good article, my hats off to you!

I've heard people say they see more markings with the Anatolian crosses,
but I haven't yet. Also when I am thinking I see more Anatolian. I find
Pyrs. that have the same look in books. Even the argument about the eyes
( You know me and my dislike for the "slit" type Pyr. eye)
So I just always think that they eyes are just a bit different within the
breed, rather than thinking Anatolian.
I hadn't thought about the size as I always thought they ran about the
same, and maybe on average the Anatolians might be a bit larger ( less
coat of course ). Of course in truth, even though I know it is becoming
a popular cross in our area especially, I don't know that I have seen
that many. I may just not be that well acquainted with the Anatolian
breed. But from what I have seen, that Pyr. always seems most dominant!

You did a great job on the Canton article, I wish more people would care
enough to get that stopped! It is so frustrating, and I feel for all the
animals that go through that place! Cindy
