[PyrNet-L] Re: flea prevention

This is not at all scientific, just annecdotal: I have Boris, my male pyr on
glycoflex. Prior to putting him on it (for severe osteoarthritis) he was
terribly allergic to flea bites. Indeed, before we got him from Rescue, he
had been neglected, such that he had chewed himself up due to flea bites and
worn all his front teeth down so that they had to be remove/filed down to the
gums and he was given a root canal. For the couple years we had him and he
was not on glycoflex he would get the occassional flea bite and it was hot
spot galore. We don't have alot of fleas, but he was affected enough with
what was there. Since he has been on the glycoflex, either the fleas are
turned off by his skin as a result of the glycoflex, or the bites don't
bother Boris. But I haven't seen any bite marks, redness, swelling, etc.
I'm wondering if anyone has noticed a similiar effect with glycoflex?
