[pyrnet] The new duster!!

Great to see the List up and running again. Been very busy for 3 days with
shows and that Frankie here did his Mother so proud with all his winnings
and money to pay for her petrol and toxic substances. Back to normal today,
house like a pigsty after all the bad weather etc and to help the cleaning
along I was given a new duster!!! Big hint I think. I was doing the laundry
(washing!). I think the town of Featherson was told that Jan Chaplin was
doing her laundry so just have your dirty laundry delivered, she'd never
know the difference!! Day at home for the handyman so had his washing too.
In to the laundry he comes with a very smart pair of striped underpants.
I'm still trying to come to terms with what he said to me but it goes like
this " You can have these for a duster but you'll have to wash them first!"
Then he handed them to me!!!! "Don't hand them to me" I screamed. "throw
them in them washing machine!". After I calmed down I asked why these
elegant, striped, seldom worn under garments were being offered as a duster?
the explanation given was that Puffin ( our 7 month old Pyr puppy) had
gotten the afore mentioned underpants and had chewed the bottom out of them.
Now I did not give this a lot of thought at the time but on reflection I
asked how had Puffin got his mouth around what I thought were a pair of new
and hopefully (since they were "handed" to me) clean underpants?? I did say
what a clever puppy to open the drawer and select himself a pair of clean
underpants. Wrong!!!! Very wrong, these garments had seen a day's wear
you know the old Army saying, "there will be a change of underwear today,
Hut One will change with Hut Two"), and where did the young Puff Daddy find
this garment?? he found it lying on the bedroom floor that's where he found
them. So, I am the proud owner of a nice, clean (yes I washed them) duster
and Michael is less one pair of much favoured and very smart undergarments.
Normally I am the recipient of underwear for dusters when there is no hope
left for them. Takes me back to when Ronda and Pyr friends were staying
here some years ago and I did all the washing. What fun I had with a full
basket of clean, dry washing as all sat around the table and I held up
garments from the basket asking for owners!!! Never seen so many items
grabbed so quickly as I held them up and gave "a description of items". Had
the sense to remove mine prior to event!!
