Re: [pyrnet] Behavior issue

Katie, since you no longer have the dog this may not interest you, but
for the sake of learning I suggest you grab a book on Pit-bulls/Staffs.
It is a real education in a time when we label them a dangerous breed.
Inherently they are highly people tolerant and children adoring, it is
literally the way they were bred. People, even children, handled them in
the pits fighting, so they had to love people. They are dog aggressive by
nature, although this doesn't always occur to the same degree, and often
they get along fine with other dog breeds in their own family. But they
did have to get along with humans, and human children, or they would have
been culled. Any screw up in recent years has more to do with the humans
that own them, rather than the dog or the breed. I know I have total
respect for this Pit/Staff mix we have, she is a real people and child
lover. At any rate, it is always good to educate!
Cindy.
