[pyrnet] behaviour issues

There are no "levels" of biting. A bite is a bite. the intent is there for
what ever purpose be it food orientated or people orientated. Steps then
must be taken to ensure protection and to also ensure this does not happen
again be it ensuring no food around with children, no going near food/water
bowls, favourite toys . Dogs can get very jealous of children for a variety
of reasons. If I let a puppy go to a home with children then I ask that the
children be allowed to feed the puppy, give him his bone and toys and other
things associated with the puppy, grooming, walks too. One Family made a
roster 6 years ago for their three boys and even today that roster is still
adhered to. If one of the boy's decides he doesn't want to do it then the
Parents' threaten a phone call to Mrs Chaplin. It works!! It's the old
saying "there are no bad dogs, only bad owners" and many of us have
unfortunately inherited dogs who have been abused in the past and we try our
best not always with a happy ending. Can I ever forget taking the little Pyr
bitch I mentioned from the most disgusting situation and then lavishing
attention, care and food on her? No I wont forget nor the last trip we took
together.
