Re: [pyrnet] tear stains

My boy, Louis, also has stains on his elbows and mild
tear stains. I got a good tip from my breeder, but it
takes time and you have to keep with it.....mix bluing
shampoo with 6% peroxide, use a scrub brush/kitchen
brush and apply to elbow stains and work well, rinse
well....needs to be done daily, and it will fade the
stains over about 3 weeks. Be careful though, that
the dog doesn't have any open pressure sores on the
elbows. My vet said he had these stains simply
because when he lies down, he is hard on the elbows.
About the tear stains, I am not too sure....,I would
be hesitant to use chemicals so close to the eyes....I
think daily cleaning is a preventative
measure, but would like to hear others suggestions,
because I would also like a good tip for that.
