When you talk about the Mal Club work are you talking about a mapping of
the gene itself and not the discovery of a marker?  I admit that I am not
sure which they are doing (?).  I have always assumed that it was a marker
but I could sure be wrong.  And, you're right, we can hope it's us but as
the PRA work shows it might well not be.
