Re: [pyrnet]Check in..

Thea, lost your private E-Mail. Kept your phone number.
You never did tell me a good time to call and talk. Sorry to hear you
were so close and didn't stop by. Hubby was working, daughter was gone
for the weekend. Only son
(living on his computer) and little old me left at home.
Quiet weekend, would have enjoyed meeting you!

Doesn't sound like Max is in bad shape. I would give it more time. They
can be klutzy and rough at that stage, and just like us, end up with some
aches and pains. The nice thing is, they don't go on about it like we
tend to do.
Unless it persists or suddenly gets worse, I would not worry.

Yes, the insurance is a wonderful thing, and more and more companies are
doing it. I would love to be able to have it on the animals, since I am
always concerned about the big stuff. Years ago we lost our Champion
Mastiff female to rapid onset kidney failure. We had done everything
with that girl, conformation, obedience, tracking, library duty with the
kids, etc. It was a tragic loss, and one that still sticks with us
today. They were not offering a lot in the way of help then, but I wish
we would have had the money to really try to save her. So I think it is
a good thing. One of my friends put out over $4,000. in just a short
time trying to save her Doxie. She bought Angel a little time, but lost
her in the end. You can really put it out fast if it is something
serious.

How neat that you are looking to adopt a female! Is she spayed? Have
you gone ahead and had Max neutered yet? Having that done, and giving
him time to get hormones out of his system ( unless he hasn't started
that, or she is spayed ) will be much easier on you! That way no bad
behaviors start ( like marking walls etc. ). But I think you will do
fine with an addition. Do you have much history on her?

I'm still actually looking forward to talking to you, and I wish I had
known you were so close. What amount of space are you looking for? To
build or with a place? Were you looking around generically or talking to
Real Estate?

We live about 3 miles north of Ennis, just a few miles east of 45. Since
hubby works in Dallas it is an easy trip up!

Glad to hear from you! Hope Max feels better soon, and I like the idea
of Lilly! :-) Have a good day! Cindy
