Matt I agree completely with what you are doing. Do not put him under anesthesia for hip x-rays. I would probably not even x-ray him, 11 is getting pretty old for a Pyr. I would use conservative measures only which might include acupuncture, applied kinesology, or similar if you have any qualified practitioners in your area. Joe
