But the book was published in 1998, years after all of these references.  
It's the book in which he doesn't specifically include Great Pyrenees 
chondrodystrophy under the category "disorders that disfigure, maim, or 
otherwise render an animal nonfunctional", nor does he mention dwarfism or 
chondrodystrophy in general, only English Pointer dwarfism and Malamute 
chondrodystrophy (plus other non-dwarfism things that I quoted from the book 
in prior post).

So do you suppose he wrote that part of the book back in the 1992 timeframe 
and just didn't want to bother with updating it before he sent it to the 
publisher in 1998?
