[pyrnet] Advantage flea control?

Yesterday my vet discovered that my Jack Russell puppy
has fleas. I have never had a flea problem before and
hadn't noticed them, so I was suprised. She
recommended treating both my dogs with Advantage
topical flea treatment, so I went ahead and did it.
Has anyone else used this? Does it seem to do the
trick. Does its effectiveness lessen when they get
bathed (which I need to do today)?
