Advantage is a wonderful product that can effectively eliminate fleas. However, it
has been know to cause seizures in dogs as well as cats. The first time we applied
Advantage to Cajun she was fine. The second application, done about 8 months
after the first, caused 36 hours of seizures that were brought under control by
two baths (it takes two bathings to get the Advantage off) and heavy veterinary
intervention.

While Bayer strongly denied any "cause and effect" the product has been known to
cause neurological dysfunction in rats. Bayer also strongly recommended that we never
use this product on Cajun again (not a problem).

Please be aware that putting products ON a dog, is the same as putting them IN the
dog. And Advantage is a Very effective product.
