[pyrnet] HEALTH, CHAT: Staphylococcus Aureas Infection in Ear

I have a friend who emailed me that has a dog with this infection
in his ears. Anyone have any info? I've never had to deal with
this with any of my dogs. Pertinent text is contained below:

<<.  I had a culture done of his ear.  He has staphylococcus
aureus.  I don't know what it is but he is on 2000 mg of Keflex a
day.  He has been on it for 11 days now and he doesn't want to
eat.  I've been looking on the computer but so far haven't found
anything much on it.  Have you ever heard of it and is it
serious.  I tend to think so with the amount of medicine he has
him on and for 30 days.>>
