RE: [pyrnet] neighbors.

We've been on the list only a few weeks. We have two Pyrs as LGDs on our
brand new goat farm in Lynchburg TN (known only for its prime export, Jack
Daniel's whiskey). They're both about a year old; the male is already 130
pounds and the female (neutered) is about 70. She's the boss.

My husband retired from the Navy after 30 years, the last 10 in Washington
DC. We escaped to Tennessee, and are enjoying the weather and the quiet
pace of life.

I welcome any advice about Pyrs as LGDs -- I've had no problems so far (I'm
knocking on the wood computer desk). They were raised with goats, and are
wary of strangers, but good with my goats, cats, and Aussies, who stay
OUTSIDE the fence. WE have problems here with coyotes and bobcats, but not
[yet] with strange dogs.
