Something else you can do is change to a different guestbook.  Bravenet makes 
one you can edit and delete entries in.  My daughter had trouble with someone 
spamming her guestbook and was able to delete the entries.  I can find out 
about it for you if you want.  You can go to www.bravenet.com and just sign 
up with them and get a new editable guestbook for your site.  You can still 
keep the old guestbook, just add a new one to the site.  If you need any help 
with this please let us know.  Its what we do.
