Beau sounds like a wonderful dog.
I second the floor cleaner, air freshener, laundry detergents or house
plants and roots outdoors ideas.
It seems I read in a puppy book, that feeding the big breeds twice a day
helps to level out their blood sugar.  Someone mentioned this as a cause of
a spell earlier.
I try to get mine to eat twice a day for that reason.  Although in the
warmer weather, they usually ignore one of the two meals.
