Re: [pyrnet] PYR HARASSMENT

Very good article on insur. in the Pyr.Club magazine. Even mentioned
rates going up when they find you have birds, which I didn't think of.
We have two, a Cockatiel and a Patagonian Conure ( the largest of the
conure family ). I notice that all the insurance forms have a section to
fill out on dogs. If I've told this story before on this list please
forgive, sometimes it is hard to keep track. We just switched insurance
Companies. I usually handle it, but hubby was talking to the woman this
time. He gets to the dog part and goes off on his merry way talking
about his five wonderful, big white dogs, ranting and raving. I'm
standing in front of him waving my arms, shaking my head no, making slash
gestures across my throat, pretending to stab myself, etc. Bob is
happily rattling on about his big white Pyr. dogs! We did get the
insurance, far better coverage for a whole lot less. But after reading
that article if I ever know we are going to have a claims adjuster out,
you can be sure I am going to load all those big fluffy white dogs, and
go to a friends for awhile! The insurance companies have really got us
dog owners on this I am afraid, bird owners too it would seem. I've
really gotten paranoid about keeping everyone away from the birds when
they visit. It is a sad world when law suits consume everything. IMO
