 okay...don't worry, i may
have read it wrong! it wouldn't be the first time. ;-)  but it's people
like that who don't need pyrs.  they have them for an ego boost and nothing
more, trying to show that they have a tough and rough dog that is bigger and
better than the others, and as you described, it causes nothing but
problems.  not to mention, it sounds like she may have been trying to get
your dog to misbehave so that perhaps he may do bad in the ring or even get
thrown out.  (that may be what you were saying) people are just
mean and vindictive, aren't they?
i think it's important for
all of us pyr owners to discourage this kind of "want" for the dogs.  it's
a big issue with me, as i'm sure it is for many or all of you.  kinda like
those who want a rottie or dobe or chow chow - simply to make them feel like a
hot shot.  w/pyrs it seems like those types think they can get away b/c
the pyrs look so sophisticated and classy - that is such a put down to the
breed - or any dog for that matter.   again, as i've seen discussed so
many times before, it's so important not to over breed, breed incorrectly (for
money, etc), and be careful who we encourage to own a pyr.  they are
definately not for everyone....as i'm sure we all know. :-)
