Subject: Livestock Guardian Dogs featured on Noggin

Hi everyone. I don't know how many of you have smaller children who watch a
program called "Noggin" on Nick JR. The program has several wonderful
segments on kids news, programs, and a great program where kids switch
places and live each other's lives for a few days. It is called "A walk in
your shoes".

At any rate they had an animal segment yesterday morning. I wasn't paying
much attention to the TV as I was trying to get everything ready to get my
son off to school. Then my son said "Look mommy! Pyrs!". And when I looked
up they were doing a feature on livestock guardian dogs with a child
reporter. The main breed being featured where Great Pyrenees with a female
who was a guard for sheep. The farmer also had two pyr pups that looked to
be about four months old that she was introducing to livestock. She also had
another flock that was being guarded by an Anotolian Shepherd.

I was so tickled to see our breed featured. Although I would have liked to
have seen it at least mentioned that these dogs make wonderful companions
and family pets as well.
