Lets be clear.  It is mostly the crook along the body of the tail.  Look at
page 343 in Mary Crane's cook at Ibos du Val d'Aure.  Not the best picture,
but he likely has a crook. Page 376, Basquaerie Iris clearly has a nice one.  
Page 291 Roland de Soum has a very clear one.  The tail seems to flip over
and/or to the side accenting the plumage of the tail.  The tip I had not
thought much about, but when I do that is part of it as well.  I mostly look
for the flip in the tail itself.
