I guess that I'd say that patience is what
is needed when you have a correct Pyr no matter where it comes from.
Out here, slow maturity is a given. And while I think
that slow maturity is connected to longevity sometimes, I sure don't
think it's iron clad.

We have slow maturing on the
east coast as well! My one bitch matured at 7!
My male is still coming into his own at 6!
Barb's Bo looks glorious at 10! None of the
above looked to swift at 2 & 3 vbg! But we love em
anyway!
I couldnt agree more.
My Molly who will be 7 in July looks more pyr now than
she ever has before, and she is another east coast
pyr. Mentally she did not mature til she was
approaching 5. Although she will be at Nationals
with me for one day at least, she misses the
veterans competition by a few weeks.
