Re: [pyrnet] Merri/Loss of Pigmentation (was Faults?)

that it doesn't crack this season. He will now drink water on command, but I
can never keep it wet enough.

> Hi Merri, Of course I have no answers to the pigment problem, but to the
cracking of the nose, two words, BAG BALM. We use it on our cows teats, in
the winter when they have a calf suckling their teats get very chapped, and
sore. The bag balm does the trick, it doesn't come off easily, not with
water or sucking calves, it is non toxic obviously, and is clear. I use it
on my own hands and such when they get cracked form the cold. It also has an
antiseptic quality, to prevent infections.
You can get it at any farm supply store. A little goes a long way. Thanks to
Shania Twane indorsing it, it has gone up in price, but still only runs
around $9 a tin Canadian.
Hope this helps,
