This is also the reason that I feel that it is so very important that we
establish a grooming procedure with our dogs , as this tells them that they
WILL allow us free access to any part of their body that We want to touch !
Any thoughts on this ?>>
I'm with Pam on this one. For me it goes beyond grooming. Our rule? NO
teeth on any part of any human anatomy for any reason, EVER. It is simply
not allowed, from puppyhood on. In a strong willed, territorial, dominant
breed like Pyrs, allowing them to put teeth on flesh runs the risk of
delivering a message that could create huge problems in the future. Why
even run the risk? There are plenty of ways that your dog can express
affection, objection, whatever, without using its teeth.
