Actually, what the work at the Debois sheep station showed is that Pyrs are
the most flexible and adaptable of all the LGD breeds.  Move them, move the
sheep, move the shepherd.  Take the whole group or part of it to some other
range or pasture.  Pyrs adjust to it all with minimum fuss.  What may be
going on the the scenario Pam discusses is that the dogs are simply wary of
newcomers and would need a bit of time to integrate the new animals.  But,
basically, no this light color/dark color is probably a myth.
