Becky, Dallas had at least two such cases a few years ago, both involving
Labs. doing nothing more than standing on their own property barking at
Police.  No attack, just barking ( Police were answering a burgler alarm
).  I agree that this situation is getting out of hand with the shoot
first mentality, especially where dogs are concerned, because they think
no one will care.  Thank you for bringing this to our attention, it is
about time concerned dog owners started speaking out.
And yes, it could happen to any of our dogs.  Cindy
