Lene, You are right about the
longevity. My mom has a beagle that will be either 17 or 18
this upcoming November and other than cataracts on both eyes he is
fine. Isn't that a shocker?!?!? Who would have thought JD (Jack
Daniels) would have lived that long.They are planning getting him eyes operated
on sometime soon.
I pray that I will have many years to love
my Bear and Sugar Bear. The last dog I lost was when I lived at
home. We had a 15 or 16 year old cocker named Marcus Anthony. For
ten years after if I saw a buff cocker with the white mark on the head and
throat I would just ball!!! As a matter of fact, Bear is the first dog
I've owned since then because I was afraid to make that commitment again and
have that heartache all over. When you love them so much and they cross
the bridge, it's like losing a family member. After all, that's what they
are.
