Re: [pyrnet] Pyr with a Nosebleed

Hi Dennis,
Any possible exposure to rat poison or a dead animal that ate rat
poison? My sister's dog had this problem when she got into a carcass that
had been killed by it. She had many nose bleeds before realizing the source
of the problem. The vet prescribed 3cc of liquid vitamin K, given orally. The
dog was about 30 lbs, so yours may need 3 times as much, depending on the
weight.
She also put an ice pack on the back of her neck, which may not have much
effect if yours is a pyr with a lot of hair.
 Good luck, Heather
