Oh boy! I think it should be a felony to predict weather in Southern Alberta
lol!! Last week, it was -25 and yesterday and today it was ALMOST tropical
with the mercury soaring to ...what??? 8 degrees! The Chinooks here just
keep me holed up in a dark room , wearing sunglasses. Usually 2 days before
they swoosh in , I will get such intense headaches I can't see straight. ( I
hesitate to call them migrains as they have never been diagnosed and many a
DR. here don't believe there is a connection) Actually the last Dr. told me
it was all in my head lol (shhhh)
Anyway I am sure it must drive you nuts...(maybe a little??) You have your
beautiful white Pyrs galavanting happily thru the drifts of snow ...you can
see their breath with every exhale. Tiny pearls of ice form on their
whiskers, and shine when the sun catches them.....at -25 THEN you wake up
the next day and oh no when you were sleeping, the chinook came...ate the
snow (according to legend anyway) and made it 15 degrees warmer, and on its
departure all you have left, as far as you can see...is...MUD!! (or soggy
wet brown grass) You know today, was one of those days, where I almost took
the misgided advice from my local hardware guy. After searching for what
seemed days, to find the grommit that fits to hacfryi that won't fit the
hoseamabobbit so I could BATHE my dog in the jacuzzi, this guy actually
suggested I go to the CARWASH!%#@. oh in case you were wondering, hehehee
NO I did not
make any attempt to turn it on! My adrenaline left and never came back when
I jumped out of a PERFECTLY good airplane years ago, but the jacuzzi manual
says that 4 people could fit, (but for safety reasons no more!!LOL) So I did
the math and it added up to ONE pyr if I was careful!. Michele Donald
