I know just what you mean. You want so badly to give every deserving rescue
dog the happy ending they so deserve. Especially the seniors! They tug at
the heartstrings so much. This is one reason when we went to adopt a cat
from our local humane society I deliberately choose an adult cat. Not even
bothering to look at all the adorable kittens. We still have that cat. He is
Rajah. My gorgeous and loving silver mackeral maine coon. And I wouldn't
take a million dollars for him. Or for any of my furred and feathered kids.
They are family members. And even though my husband loudly tells everyone
that we have three cats too many. He was the first to tell me to spend
whatever had to be spent to save our Bella Donna's life when the little
wench ate a 10 inch strip of plastic. And had to have emergency surgery. She
cost us just $10 short of $300 for that little escapade. And even though she
is the most rotten cat in the world! LOL! She was worth every penny.
