mellow's new 'game' is making me nuts!! he wants to be outside and will pace 
and pace til i take him out. then when he gets out he licks all the puddles 
(the muddier the better) or digs deep, muddy holes if i let him. i try not to 
so i walk him around the yard over and OVER and OVER til i've had enough and 
he has to stay either crated or on a leash in the house tied to me! its a 
game for him but for me its starting to lose its thrill. any suggestions? i 
am thinking of making a run in the yard that would have a cement floor and he 
could stay out in that for a few hours at a time after i get home from work. 
can you do cement in the winter?
 also, mel is now 10 months. he was neutered at 4 months and he is starting 
to pee repeadedly all over the yard. is this marking even in an early 
neutered dog or should i check for a medical problem? sometimes very little 
urine comes out but he's not having any trouble holding it while i am at work 
or overnight as i would think i would find with a urinary tract infection. 
what do you pyrexperts think?
