Ah ~ now I know where I got the Stanley Hotel thing, seems
Stephen King wrote part of the novel there! We will probably all
want to rent the movie before we go to CO! LOL. Which lucky
person is booked into room 217?

[The Timberline Hotel in Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon provided
the exterior for The Overlook. The interiors of the hotel were all
created from scratch inside of a film studio and do not actually
exist. Stephen King wrote half of his novel in Room 217 - changed
to 237 in the film - of The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, a
similar-looking hotel].
