RE: [pyrnet] Strokes and heart attacks.

Hi My Sheppard Pepsi (3 months shy of 15 now) had a stroke (or that's what
the vet called it) three years ago. It was horrible! For a few days, if she
tried to get up and move she would almost do circles, and walk sideways. She
did recover rather quickly, but She ended up not having full use over her
back end (for lack of a better way to explain it). Since then she has had
several more mini ones, each time losing more mobility in her rear. She sort
of walks from side to side, rather than actually bending her legs forward.
Her tail is always cocked to the left side now. And sometimes she cannot
stand to eat, as her back legs won't stay under her, and start sliding into
the splits. She's not in any pain, and just looks really confused at her
butt, not understanding why it's not doing what she wants it to<G>
My vet said this was all caused by the strokes. But she's happy, has a great
appetite, and never whines in pain, so he did not think that I should let
her go.
