Hi Keith, Both my dogs went through spurts as they were maturing. During the spurt they would eat like a horse and then kind of taper off for a while. As long as he seems healthy and is not losing weight, I would not worry too much about it (or let him connive you into adding too many goodies in his food). Elaine and Pico
