[pyrnet] I'm getting too old for this !!!

Well, I now have some more gray in My hair~~(a lot more !!)  <sigh>
This is one of several times that I've seen it, but, this was the worst !
Here's the situation ~~Susie is old/decrepit,/wobbly/slow~~~but, She's still ALPHA , and intends to continue as ALPHA~~~part of Her Life-Long duty is to chase squirrels, birds, airplanes, away from Her airspace in our backyard~~~
So~~~Susie barks, runs to the peremitor of the backyard~"Hormone Kid Dusty" runs along to see what's going on ~~everything is fine as long as Dusty lets Susie take the lead, and He stays behind Her~~~
Today, He forgot Himself and took the lead~~Susie turned on Him~~
Now, let Us not forget, Dusty weighs more than Susie now~~He's also a "Young Buck" with a lot of strength~~Dusty decided to fight back~~
He jumped on Susie, crushed Her down (belly to the ground),straddled Her and took several "swipes" to the spinal column where the head joins the neck ~~Susie is a fighter !  She never stopped  trying to roll over so that She could get to Dusty, but, His entire weight was holding Her down~~~
I've never moved so fast in My entire life ! I grabbed Dusty's tail and pulled! (Thanks to Catherine DeLa Cruz and Linda Weiser,  I remembered to do this, instead of trying to get hold of a collar)~~~
Dusty was completley distracted, did NOT try to bite Me~~~I examined Susie, Her fur around Her neck was not even wet ~~Dusty was  evidentaly trying to "bluff" Her!!
Soooooooo, after the adrenalin subsided, I finnaly have figured out that "Susie Girl"  needs to be protected from Herself !  Since She's a fighter, and will NOT back down, She is in danger from this  "youngan" that is here~~After all, dogs will be dogs~~it will happen again~~You can't fight several hundred's of years of instinct !
