[pyrnet] Another funny Newman story
I must admit, Newman is always good for a laugh.
:-D Larry took him for a walk today and was relating this story to
me this evening. He had me cracking up. The kids a couple of streets down
wanted Larry to bring Newman to "meet" their dog, so he walked
him down the alley. The kids' dog is a cute little mutt...a male...who
was delighted to "meet" this fuzzy white stranger. They
snuffled and sniffed though the fence and wagged tails mightily....until
Newman had the audacity to pee on his fence. Larry says the little mutt
immediately started making these weird growly, choking, gagging sounds
and turned around and peed on the fence, then proceeded to paw up the
dirt with all four feet (Larry said he wasn't entirely sure how the dog
managed this. He was quite fascinated as to how the dog managed to paw
dirt with all four feet furiously and still stay in the same
place). Larry asked the kids, "Does he do that often?"
They just shook their heads and said they'd never seen him act like that.
Newman watched the mutt pee on the fence, then cheerfully turned around
and marked it again. The other little dog seemed to go into paroxysms of
rage with more strangled, growl and gags and more of his little dance
before turning and aggressively peeing on the fence again. Newman sat
down and watched, then calmly walked over and marked the fence again. By
this time, Larry and the kids were all dying laughing at the poor
mutt's expense. Larry said this went on about four times until he figured
he'd better take Newman home. He said our fluffy white terror seemed very
pleased with himself.
Hope the poor mutt didn't have a heart attack.
