I'm not sure that they had it right on the news. Was not the
husband convicted of manslaughter? From what I understand, the
manslaughter charge and the mischievous animal that killed charge
were the first 2 charges to come back as guilty. Took an extra
day of deliberations to come back guilty on the second degree
murder charge. I'd imagine the more serious charge cancels out
the lesser charge.
