RE: [pyrnet] FYI New dog site...possible Breeder Photo copyright infringement

Hi Joe,

I agree the definition was not all that bad at all. But alot of breeders on the SHOWDOGS-L said that their breeds description was totally wrong...I don't know, never read them.

Hopefully, the photos of the Pyr were used with permission.

But it is disturbing that in their disclaimer the statement "Images and Information on this Site:The photos and information contained on this site are considered to be in the public domain, as they were found in various places on the Internet."

To me that is a bit bold, and has ruffled some feathers. Plus I do feel, and I'm sure you'll agree.... that if you want to use a picture off of someone's site, you should get their permission and not just take it.

Take care,
Sariena

There is a Pyrenees page which has several photo's on it, maybe all who have
a website should check it out and see if the photo's may be one of your
dogs.

Most of these sites are trash and this one may be no different, but I will say in their description of the breed the "just about got it right".  Couple small things I would have said a little different, but mostly right on.  Better than some breed clubs that should know better.  That was a pleasant surprise. Wonder what their source was?

I did not recognize any photo's that were stolen with Pyrs.
