RE: [pyrnet] Challenging LGD Prospect



I've read just about everything on-line that I can find, including the
article you're referring to (it is a very good one)...the lady who wrote it
has Anatolian Shepherds, but I imagine most of the information is applicable
to Pyrs also.  I hope you're right about her just being a puppy!  I've read
that you might lose a bird or two while the dog is learning, but I'm having
a difficult time convincing my wife that that's an acceptable price to pay
for 10-12 years of loyal protection once she's learned what to do.  With
your support and that of others, my confidence is renewed that making the
effort will pay off.

Go to www.lgd.org and search the library. there is at least one article in
there on how to train LGD to fowl. She's just being a puppy.
