[pyrnet] an observation

~~~~~Good morning , All~~
We've talked about pack dynamics, about LGD's, ( ect...)~
I've never had any experience with any of this, just what I've read~~
My dogs are teaching Me what they could possibly be capable of, (f I were to want it), they are teaching Me that the "ingrained" instincts of the Great Pyrenees are not dead, just sleeping~~
Of course, when Hubby & I moved to this new house, The entire perimeter of the fence line was walked by the dogs, marked every few feet~~then, patrolled regularly, with more marking~~
They have their designated digging area near the house, which they lay in when outside, always "butt to butt " each facing in an opposite direction from the other to keep an eye on things~~When they do hear a noise that they feel might be threatening, off they go, again, each to a corner of the fence facing the "suspected threat "~~never have I seen them stand and bark side by side~~they each go to seperate areas along the fence~~I  stand and watch them as they "fan out", in a dead run to the fence, guarding & threatening the area where they have heard the noise~~every few seconds, I also see them glance at each other as if to say:  " You got it over there" , I'm making sure that this  area is under control"~
Even AN"D", ( spoiled rotten,house dog, considers it beneath Him to be outside for any length of time ) will "join in" & patrol His part of the fence~
Then of course, When He feels that the "bad guys" have been properly intimidated, He "moseys" back to the deck and lays down~~~
Just an observation that I have noticed~~
