Cat, thanks for the kind words regarding Beau.  He has become a joy for the whole household.  Christina and I joke that we just tell people we got Beau for the kids, but he is really for us "adults!"  Beau loves to lay on his belly with his hind legs dangling behind him, and pull himself around the grass or carpeting by his front legs, giving himself a belly rub.  

 

I've also had glimpses of the "puppy from hell" you mentioned, but they are brief enough, and he is cute enough that they don't last too long.
