I hate to confirm your suspicions, but I have a male Pyr now (my 1st male
also) after having had a female for nearly 10 years. My boy was definitely
harder to housebreak than my girl was, and he does have his own ideas about
how things should be, and whether or not he should bother coming when called
(ok he's stubborn too!). Worf was more easily distracted by bugs, birds,
planes...whatever happened to be available to see at the time. It took a
bit longer with him, and you kind of have to try and keep him focused on his
mission..."do pee pee" "do pee pee", etc. I think it helps not only to take
him out the same door, but also to always take him to the same area so his
reason for being out there is clear (no fooling around when it's time to go
pee pee, there'll be plenty of time for that later!) You won't be sorry
that you selected a male. I loved my girl dearly, but my boy is wonderful
too and yours will be also once he grows up a bit and gets with the program.
I know it's no fun right now, but it'll be over soon! Good luck!

Beth
