Re: [pyrnet] Puppy food.

Hi Jenn,
Both my boys squat to pee.  The one is altered but not until he was 2, and never seems to have been inclined to lift his leg.  The other is still intact, can and will lift a leg but is too lazy.  He only lifts a leg if he's having a pissing contest with another dog.
ciao

Hi Jenn,

The squat to pee for a male dog may be normal for a pyr??  Or I have had two dogs who never learned otherwise.   Jascha was 4 years old before he was neutered and he always squatted.  I assumed that because he was raised with two girl dogs, he never realized there was another way, but Charlie has seen dogs lift their legs and he never has.  Now if he could just take the first step afterwards and not plunk his foot into the wettest spot, all would be well.

I have heard stories of little dogs trying to mark higher on a fence than they really can to appear bigger, but it seems my pyrs are big enough not to care.
