Your response pretty much sums up the entire reason that animal shelters exist - lack of forethought by humans who are not truly serious about the responsibility that comes with every animal acquired.
For those of us who discuss, consider, build houses and impenetrable fences before we get the dog, it's just beyond my imagination. We even worried that we might be "too old" to get a puppy and that Ombre might out-live us and be "orphaned", so that is provided for. LOL
Way the kids have been acting lately, I may leave the whole estate to Ombre and let her start her own Pyr rescue center. LOL
