You all have been breaking my heart and not just for
great Pyrenees pup dogs, but all the dogs and even all animals that humans do
not care about but continue to let them breed and bring more into the
world.
We live in the country and people are always dumping
dogs and cats out to starve. They turn up here full of tick and everything
else imaginable. We get them doctored up and then take them to the pound
or have them put to sleep our selves because I would rather they be in peaceful
death sleep than suffer the elements of the earth with no food or water.
I have a pyr lab mix which we rescued but cannot
convince my husband to have anymore because when we go away (all our six kids
live far away) we cannot find anyone to care for our pup dog. And, it is
costly to board them, especially more than one.
I've often thought of having an unofficial rescue with
a building and fence but being retired with no one to help I really don't know
how reasonable that would be. We do live in the country on 85 acres but
that is not much help if we cannot leave them when we go away. What do you
all do or do you not travel at all? I can't not see my children and
grandchildren over dogs. (they would never forgive me) but my heart breaks
for these uncared for animals.
God gave us dominion over the animals to care for them
and really each other, but we humans are doing a terrible job. Sad when
all I hear about is that we are a Christine country. UHH!!!! Maybe
in word only.
