Lisa, Are you still with us, and your pyr? Have you left already? When are you planing to leave? Do you have another driver or are you doing this all on your own? What rescue organization did you get your pyr from? It is summer, so it is hot! What ever you decide take plenty of water for the dogs and kids, and know that you will have to make plenty of potty stops along the way. Eating~ Take a cooler full of finger food Meats (lunch meats, salami), Cheese, Fruit ect.....and rolls are always a good packable. The kids can make mini sandwiches out of them, and it is fun for them too. When the ice melts in the cooler you can pour that out for the dogs too.
