Re: [pyrnet] Question

I have noticed the same with our Cameron.  He has a strong dislike for 2 of my neighbor's landscapers.  With the one guy, Cam just barks at him every time he sees him.  The young guy working made the mistake of trying to climb over our fence for some reason and just about lost a leg.  I heard the guy scream and Cameron barking and saw Cameron move at full speed for the gate.  I went out to find the guy hanging there with one leg on our side of the fence.  I truly thought the guy was going to pee his pants.  He actually tried to blame Cameron for coming at him, but I all I told him was that he's lucky to still have the leg that was on our side.  Cameron was just protecting our yard/house.  To this day that guy avoids the fence on our side!  Cam's just a great judge of character and for all I know that guy could have deliberately tried to come into our backyard.  Pyrs are amazing.

With respect to accepting certain people, I had a similar experience with Cody.  I interviewed two ladies to do some housekeeping and help my elderly mom.  Let's just say that the interview with one of the ladies was over in about 2 minutes.  Cody stood by me and would not stop barking at her.  Yet the other lady had him sleeping at her feet under the kitchen table.  You can't fool a dog and especially a pyr!
