Re: [pyrnet] At what age does a pyr reach full size?

How big are his parents?  A pyr will be close to two years old before it is full grown.  My opinion, based on my males, is that when they feel like a rock when you bump into them rather than a looser jumble of parts, they are full grown.  Charlie is solid granite, but he is a smaller guy, he weighs only 90lbs at three years old but is covered by enough fur that I would guess 125lbs.  Jascha was bigger, he did weigh 125lbs (and looked like more).  If you put your guy on a scale, you might be surprised by how little he actually weighs.

When does a great pyr reach it's full size? My great pyr (male )is almost 10mths old and probably weighs somewhere in the 90s. Will he get much bigger than that? He was the biggest puppy in the litter.
