RE: [pyrnet] Best puppy-proof flooring?

We have all hickory hardwood floors in our house with lots of area rugs.
I recommend putting a coating on the wood called "traffic" to protect
for canine nails. Cleans up beautifully and there are no marks or
scratches whatseover after 4 years and 2 Pyrs and 1 Newf. Area rugs are
easy and inexpensive to replace if need be. Kitchen and bath are all
tile, which is where they lay when they are too warm, right over the air
conditioning duct. I vowed I would never have carpet in the house
again, and I am so glad!

We have a laminate that looks like ceramic tile in our kitchen and
hallway and are very happy with it. We have had it for a little over a
year and it has not shown any damage from dogs, grandkids or spillage.

It has enough texture that it is not as slippery as the wood finish.
